Anyone out there been in relationships where your Beatle-enthusiasm is either met with head-scratching indifference or outright disdain from your significant other? Of all the serious relationships I've been in, not a one could tell you what the words 'Butcher Cover' refers to. My fantasy girl would own a Gold/Black Parlophone "PLEASE PLEASE ME" (stereo of course) and the "LET IT BE" boxed set....

Oh yeah and a nice person...blah blah... soul mate.... blah blah....love yeah whatever...

Would be my nightmare. I hate these couples that both collect the same artist (or collect together) that you very occasionally see walking around at record fairs...
Relationships are giving and taking but I rather keep my vinyl for myself :-)

Bad, bad idea. :)

If my wife also collected Beatles' vinyl, she'd have an inkling how much I was paying for it! ;)

Oh yeah - like a dowry? :)

Actually, most of the thrill of collecting for me is in the search itself; having all my missing 'wants' handed to me on a plate would probably put me in a big sulk... (and there's a little window into my marriage  )

I'm single and sad, but I like to think not quite ever as sad as the his and her jacketers :D :D :D

Much like having the misfortune of coming across Honda Goldwing husband and wife owners.
I'm with Bill. As long as the response from my better half is contained to phrases like "Oh, that's a nice cover", or "oh, what a pretty gold/black stereo label", then I'm good.
