Hello everyone

I just got home from a 5 day trip to London. Not many secondhand recordstores to find. I went to Camden Market and i found me three pretty decent records.

1. A With the Beatles XEX-1 with corrected labels and in a E.J. Day sleeve
2. A first pressing mono A hard day's night but with and MT taxcode
3. A XEX-4 copy of Rubber soul (I never had one all my previous mono's were all XEX-1)

All in all I think they were worth the 22 GBP. All were actually graded as being poor but they all play at least VG

But anyway it was great coming to London for the first time and I took the Beatles walk seeing Soho Square, Savile Row and Abbey Road

Regards

Hi,

Glad you enjoyed your trip to London, I am always really disappointed when I go into the remaining record shops around London, they have either all their first press Beatle records locked up in vaults ‘ out the back’ of the shop or there is an unpleasant attitude from the shop staff, ie not wanting people to handle their precious vinyl !

I went up to Abbey Road last July, being the 40th anniversary of when the LP photo cover shot was taken. Its good that you can still walk up those famous steps and into the reception of the Abbey Road Studios, my lady friend took a photo of me sitting on those steps where the Beatles sat during a break from the LP photo shoot, its a very exciting place to be, theres a real ‘vibe’ in the air.

WC.

Hey Preben you should have said, you could have come to my bbq !!

Sadly the record shops in London themselves thesedays are usually a bit of a waste of time, but there are still bargins to be had outside London and at the record fairs like Spittlefields and Olympia etc etc....
