Does anyone know if there are UK boxes and booklets for this, or are they all US made? I have one with UK labels, but the box and booklet are made in US and I wondered if it was swapped or if some (or all) was lke this. |

:) I would if I had a copy - sorry. The Bangladesh box is not something that I've ever been particularly concerned about (I'm not a great fan of live albums), though I did consider buying a very tidy copy at my local second-hand shop in Worcester a few years ago for £35 (I think); perhaps I should have overcome my own prejudices... |

Fair enough Mark, i'm not that keen on live albums either, but I fell some sort of obligation to collect their solo albums, up to the eighties that is. :D |

Thanks Chris! I guess it was designed for the US market, and that EMI never saw the point in making a seprate one for the UK. |

Bought mine new, the book states Made in usa, the records made in England but nothing on the box but because it's the same cat.no STCX 3385 as in the usa it could've been made in the usa. |

My US box has a circle on one of the sides of the inside that states Printed in USA, the inside of the lid is also all orange, whereas the Canadian lid has a white inside. Litho in Canada is printed on one of the sides of the inside. |

Hmmm...could be.... I just checked my other copies, and I have a Dutch one which has no markings, so that, too, could be a UK box. Then I have another Dutch copy which has the print Litho In Canada on the outside spine, where the album's title is (this is white on the inside, like Baard's copy). What a mess.... Also, there is a major difference with some copies' front cover. Some copies have an orange shade over the cover photo and lettering, whereas on others the photo background is clearly gray..... All of my booklets were Printed In USA, though. |

All the net research I've done reveals no UK box, only US and Canadian. As said earlier, it could be that the package was all US and imported to the UK. Given that making a box is a bit out of the ordinary compared to making a regular sleeve, I guess it makes sense to import it rather than making another one in the UK. The Canadian box I cannot give a reson for other than that maybe it was contracted out by Capitol (?). My two also has different covers; the US has the orange shade and the Canadian is gray. Another thing; why didn't they make a UK matrix number with YEX-XXX? The machine-stamped matrix is very straight and narrow compared to the ones with YEX. The mothers/stampers are also unfamiliar; E14/C13/A10/B2/A4/B10. Was the the vinyl also pressed in the US? Everyone I've seen have a dished centre, not a typical centre EMI that. Maybe even the UK labels were printed in the US? |
