I have two different versions of this record with subtle differences, I suspect I have swapped vinyls, inners and covers and need a bit of help
The vinyls are easy to tell apart; one is the original the other is a later pressing with numbered stampers.

I'll describe the covers and inners to you and call them A and B:
The covers differ slightly; A having edited version in brackets after Give Peace A Chance and is only credited to John, on B both John and Paul are credited.
On A, Cold Turkey states it's produced by John & Yoko only, whereas B also credits Phil Spector.
The colours are a tad brighter on A, it is also a bit stiffer and the cardboard is dark grey on the inside, B is almost white.

The A-inner is cut off at three corners and is brighter red than B, B has all four corners rounded off. Besides this they look the same, (both credit John and Paul for GPAC).

I'm not sure but I believe the cover B is from the first pressing, because the production credit on Cold Turkey to Phil Spector is wrong, my guess is that this error was fixed on A.
This quote also indicates this:

From www.jpgr.co.uk
New Musical Express of 1st November 1975, Charles Shaar Murray reviewed the album, spotting that Phil Spector did not produce "Cold Turkey".....John replied in person to the journalist and his reply was printed in the N.M.E. of 13th December 1975. John agreed that the producer of "Cold Turkey" was not Spector, saying "There's no echo on it" :D

But here is the problem; Paul has always been (and still is, as far as I know) credited as songwriter on GPAC, this can only mean that EMI replaced one error with another. <_<

As far as the inners go, I think inner A with the cut-offs is from the first press.....
Have any of you views on this, or can verify which cover/inner is from the first press?

Baard, I have the first pressing , which I bought on release day. You are correct in stating that A-inner goes with Cover-B.

Thanks Chris!
Does yours also have hand-etched the US serial number; SW-2-3429-29 at 6 and MCR at 2 o'clock on side two?
My other copy has the error YAX in the matrix stamped in the run out on side one, it's crossed out and the correct YEX is stamped underneath.
Funny record this! :)

Hi Baard

Yes it does have both markings although at slightly different locations in comparison to the label.
