Anyone know what titles of Apple labelled singles and albums were reissued on the black and silver Capitol label in the '70's?

Thanks.

Thanks Chris I've got that and McCartney, just want to know if there are any others and what singles were reissued on Capitol. From memory I have;

Another Day
Live and Let Die
Helen Wheels
Jet
Band on the Run
Juniors Farm

I wonder if Back Seat of my Car was issued on Capitol as it wasn't a good seller although there is a decca contract of it on Apple.

Nigel.

Hi
"Back seat of my car" is definitely available on Capital.

So to is "Give Ireland...." but this one was issued using the same Shamrock labels but with different publishing credits and a small "EMI" logo to teh bottom of the label.
Hope that helps

Yes please Reg.

What about a laminated RRS, I've got a copy but it's not what I'd call laminated, I'd say it was a "varnish" finish and no braille, any thoughts at all.

Hi
RRS seems to always throw up confusion, all i can say is that i bought my copy on day of release and the sleeve is NOT laminated, it DOES have the braille to the rear and what i consider MOST importantly regarding this issue is that all 1st issues carry the "WINGS" Logo on the labels... to my knowledge any re-issues or later pressings dont have this.
Others may disagree with this and i do welcome comments (after all this whole Beatles "thing" is open tp opinion) but as i say my copy was bought on day of release so i am in no doubt that this is a first pressing.

Just to diverse slightly "Back seat....." is hard to find even as a standard Apple release because it just didnt sell very well...... my opinion is this is one of Mccartney's most underrated singles, personally i think it is superb and my only "moan" is that he never performs it live.

The reissue I have of RRS also comes without the "programme" and the Wings logo on the label but am unsure if there is a fully laminated sleeve.

Re: Back seat, I also have a Decca pressed push out version, don't believe there was an emi push out made just a solid centre.

Whilst we're on McCartney, the reissue of Wild Life on Fame is nice as it's on Apple as is John's Plastic Ono Band album.

Hi
The EMI push-out does exist, but in fairness it is actually less common than the Decca press, for whatever reason i beleive that the vast majority issues of this single where infact pressed by Decca, they rare not that uncommon .
With regard to the the FAME pressings, again i beleive thay are totally unerrated as i think the sound quality is superb and therfore they afford alot more respect than they currently afford.
