Hi

I received this during the Christmas Holidays!!

Hey Jude/Revolution

A side. Posted Image

B side: Posted Image

On the B side the text "An E.M.I." is placed directly underneath "GEORGE MARTIN"

In Bruce and Franks book this is space divided.

I believe it is a Pye pressing

Cheers

Preben Vedsted

Just uploaded better scans of this single

Despite the fact that an uncouth barbarian crossed out "Revolution," that is a NICE copy of the single. From the size of the pressing ring, it probably was made by Pye.

I found so many labels when researching for the book, but even now I remain convinced that there are perhaps "many" more. The single's sales were so much greater than anyone's expectations.

Anyway, that's a great find, Preben.

Could you upload higher resolution (200dpi or more) scans of both sides, that would be great?

It interesting that my Pye push out has the same label irregularity in the same spot under the credits, like the labels they used was somehow affected by the pressing process - heat?

I just received today what I thought would be a PYE solid.....I now think it is a POLYDOR/PHILIPS SOLID...in fact I am sure of it....and I never knew they existed.....

label wise it is very similar to the very first label posted on this thread which up until I had assumed was CBS.

However anybody familar with Philips/Polydor records will know that the vinyl is very different and unique, it has a different lustre and the vinyls are thinner, this applies to bith Phillips/Polydors Solis and push outs...the vinyl appears the same.

Needless to say the vinyl on this copy is the same as my Philips push out

I'm sorry if this has been raised before but I really had no idea these Philips solids existed for Hey Jude but since they exist for both CBS and PYE maybe its not such a surprise......

Anybody else got one ???
