Yep, it is mine. Not sure about the sticker either but that is how I got it quite a while ago. Did think about removing it but tried that in the past with other kinds of stickers and usually tear the label, so I've "let it be". It's a really nice copy though.

Didn't mean to drag it out, was just curious and very close to bidding on it myself.

I for one, am open minded about other Factory Stickers, but it would be nice to know ( and perhaps we covered this earlier ) what all versions look like.

On another note, I won a true Factory Sample on a Hey Jude push-out this morning.

How does one go about showing labels here? Do you have to have a Photobucket account or similar?

Well, I did wind up winning the 45. If the sticker is authentic, that may wind up getting pictured in the book. I needed a nice Philips "Hey Jude," so I was happy to post the money.

As far as I can tell from the BBS codes, you can only link to an image that resides somewhere online. Can't upload one. Of course, if you don't want to pay for space, you can always upload to Facebook or MySpace, then hotlink from here to there. They may not like hotlinking, though. I haven't read that part of the ToS lately.

Hi Jim,

I do mine through my Photobucket account, which was free to open. I just upload my picture, which I have previously edited but you can do all that on Photobucket if you wish, and then cut and paste the image name (IMG Code) in to my post. It is very simple and straightforward.

I hope this helps.

Does anyone really keep their photos in a bucket?

I just got my BEHIND whipped in an auction for a CBS "Hey Jude" (the dealer mis-labeled it a "Decca"). I had bid up to 102 pounds, but it went for 107. The record was only in VG condition to boot.

If "one of us" outbid me, I do hope you'll scan both sides for me.

On the other hand, if someone else out there has a fine CBS "Hey Jude" single -- one in which the outer rim is clearly visible -- I'm still looking...!

Frank,

Relax, it was me. I thought it was a Decca, but you are probably right about it being CBS. Sorry to take it from you.

Of course I'll scan it when it gets here.

There is another Hey Jude right now with an odd center knock out. Many interior ridges!

Check out:

Not in good shape but I'm going to bid on it, as it's the strangest center I've seen yet.

I have a Photobucket account and will experiment with postings here, now that I know.

What's a good size ( pixels ) for posting the labels?

fantasic the value of my collection just went up again lol !!

Jim that ebay item looks very much like the odd EMI pressing we have discussed on here before. it has a raised area around the centre hole but has EMI mothers/stampers.

I have one on Ballad and My Sweet Lord and I've seen them on Somethings, I think Pacey has one for Lady Madonna...

Well, I'm glad "one of us" got the CBS.

I have an EMI pressing like that other one. I agree that it's STRANGE.

I think the only Hey Jude contract I am missing now is a Decca, thats if they did any that is, I aquired what I thought was a Decca and it was a PYE lol !

So the list so far is....

Philips
Pye
CBS Solid
CBS push out

( the last two being heavily textured )

Any advances ?

I do not believe that a Decca contract pressing exists for "Hey Jude." I think all Deccas are Pyes for this single.

I have a Philips on the way.
I own a Pye push-out and a Pye solid.
I own a "normal" EMI copy and an EMI with the extra pressing ring(s).
CBS copies have eluded me, and Bruce has been gently pressuring me to obtain one to scan for the book!

Didn't know there was a Pye or CBS solid. Would love to see those some time.

Jim if you go back to the very first post on this same thread you will see a pic, I'm not sure if it's a Pye or CBS though...

No one has posted a photo of a Pye solid on this thread. If I can remember to go get the record from home, I'll scan my copy.
