Clearer scans of the 1987 pressing can be found here:-http://www.45cat.com/record/r5675uk. The scans came from me, but I am working on getting a cleaner B - Side label. |

Amazingly i do not think this has been posted yet although as all the photo's have long since gone its hard to tell anyway this is a 1972 pressing with polo rings but also the sold in UK text. This could be old label stock but i think the printers just made a cock up. I have another copy with the SIUK text on one side only, also a 72 polo ring job ! I've just picked up the 72 lady Madonna without the sold in uk labels and no EMI box, but just noticed that this copy has no polo rings at all on either side. Just a nice smooth 60's centre, my other copy has the polo rings, very strange! |

does it have the " sharp " edge of the polo rings ?? There are sharp edge emi pressings that come without polo rings and these last until around 75/6, i have found that these pressings usually only occur on " limited " run jobs, ie demo's and back cat copies, like Beatles EP's. This suggests to me that EMI had a press they kept to one side only for these demp's & funnies, indeed many EMI pressed demo's from 72-6 do not have polo rings, like Eagles, Grand Funk, the list is endless... However there are also Demo's with polo rings so its not consistant, but I rarely see a standard emi 45 without the polo rings, only demo's and special order jobs. |

Yes, it is knife edged but the centres as smooth as any 60's copy |
