Your black label LMD is a 3rd pressing, variation 1.

The tell is the "first published in 1962" lower in placement.

3rd pressings were the first to have had the "Sold In The UK" across the knockout

They start in January in 1964 and go until about June 1967.

There is a 3rd pressing up for sale on e-bay right now, if you want a scan:

This is the 2nd variation of the 3rd, with the larger "first published in 1962" typeface.

Hi all...I have this variation which I don't think I saw posted here...

7XCE 17144-IN & 7XCE 17145-IN
Tax Code/Mother/Stamper: PZT 1/GA and PZT 1/M

WITHOUT "Made in Gt. Britain" text
and WITHOUT right parenthesis on Side 2 and with only PT embossed tax code.

That my friend, is a rare and hard one to find. Are the artist credits on the LMD side, centered or left shifted?

Left shifted would be the norm here.

Hi Jim...unfortunately, the usual left shifted.
And by the way, thanks for letting me know about the centred credit line on Side 1...another variation to hunt for!

Cheers...Mark

Are red labelled copies with no Made in GB statement rarer than others? I do have one, vg. strictly graded, missing push out but clean labels.

I think Henry sold one few days ago.

Red labelled copies with MIGB that came out AFTER the omission are more common than those copies that don't have it.
However, copies with MIGB that came out BEFORE the omission are harder to find.

This is probably because "Please Please Me" hadn't come out yet, and "Love Me Do" didn't sell that well on its own before the Beatles had their second hit.
