Thanks for the kind words and support, Baard.
I think really the main problem is, as we discussed in the 'forum problems' thread, the absence of the moderators, who are the only ones who can create some logic in this mess and put all the scans and info in the appropriate sections (Labelology).
I am not criticizing them, I am just stating a fact. I am sure if they had the time they would do so.

And you're right Baard, anyone else who wants to start the singles threads, that's fine by me. My only aim is that this site will one day present every label variation known, because a picture says more than words and we can all relate to pictures so much better when we want to describe some or other variation, it works so much better.

I'm not really sure that Andy has time to do the job of getting this into system right now. As I said in the Labelology thread the way to get it online, is to tidy it up ourselves, get the pics right and write the text. Then we can mail all of it to Andy and he'll publish it.

We could try with one of the EP's (the first one Twist And Shout) and see how it goes...?

Would you take it upon you to try and do that, Baard?

Sure Ed I can try to organize it, I can crop and resize the pictures, organize the different variations and write the text for them.
I think we should use the same format as the albums so we need to have an introduction to each EP, I need help with that. <_<

One thing we need to decide is whether to include the covers or not. To me it seems the right thing to do, but where would they fit in the format of the Labelography?

The EP Covers are definitely a very important addition, even though they obviously don't belong in a "Labelography". But perhaps the format of the L'phies should be changed, then. I'm sure most of us here do take notice and, indeed, are trying to find as many cover variations as well, besides the labels.
I can help with the EP introductions, time permitting.

Hi Guys,

It's good to see some action on the site - the lunatics have taken over the asylum! :ph43r: :ph43r: :)

I do worry that, without some editorial control, all of your hard work will not bear the fruit it should as it will become a confused (but fascinating) mish-mash. Don't get me wrong, I am all for moving things on but I would love to see it all presented in the best possible way.

On the subject of EP covers - it is my opinion that these should be presented separately from the labels. Maybe have some form of cross-referencing system between the two. I assume that this is how the album coverologies have been envisaged and I think we should follow the same format for all types of output.

Carry on the good work. I am more of an albums man, but I will help with anything I can.

The EPs threads have re-ignited my desire to get out and find some variants i don't already have - I'll be at my first record fair of the year in a couple of weeks. My wife passes on her thanks

I assume that's not a real push-out centre, rather part of the design; am I right?

Yes, you're correct... it's a design on the label.... it's quite solid!! Not sure why they did that though.... <_<
