We've discussed these earlier, I just wanted to point to a site with all types of UK and US company sleeves.
Regarding Parlophone, it has all the different types of sleeves I cannot say how accurate his dating of them are because crossovers must accure.
He has also listed the main differences in labes, but noyhing new there for us.
Follow the link and scroll down to look at any label. :)

I've managed to find two missing Parlophone sleeves tough, both a variation of his 9th sleeve. :P
A typo sneaked in on the rear in the "Controlled by Electric & Musical Industries" text, where Industries became Instruments.
Later they printed the text again over EMI RECORDS and put a green line over the typo.

Yeah the first one is easily overlooked, and I have to admit that I hadn't noticed the smaller variations between the similar ones before.
I guess I was too busy looking at the labels and vinyl. :D

Hi guys, a little late to the party, but I found this link regarding what sleeves went with what Beatles songs, but don't quote me for accuracy!

Almost half way down the page, they start talking Parlophone sleeves.

http://thebeatles-collection.com/wordpress...ecords-singles/

As some of you know, I started collecting original Beatles UK singles, and hoping this is accurate.

he is not totally right, in my experience this is more accurate ( his order is out too ) :-

Type 2 sleeve. Multicolored striped sleeve. Used during the early 60s until 1963 with with Parlophone series 45-R 4441 – 45-R 4988 including The Beatles singles 45-R 4949 “Love Me Do” and 45-R 4983 “Please Please Me”. THIS IS ACTUALLY THE EARLIEST SLEEVE SO SB TYPE 1

Type 1 sleeve. Blue, red, yellow and green multicolored sleeve designed in the late 50s to be used with the red label. Used from 1958 until 1963 with Parlophone series 45-R 4441 – 45-R 4988 including The Beatles singles 45-R 4949 “Love Me Do” and 45-R 4983 “Please Please Me”.
THIS IS WRONG IT DATES FROM PROBABLY LATE 62 AND STRANGELY CROPS UP THROUGH MOST OF 1963 - I'VE SHEEN IT ON SHE LOVES YOU BUT NEVER ON FROM ME TO YOU...YET
S/B TYPE 2

Type 3 sleeve. Dark green sleeve with white print and straight top. When Parlophone started with the silver & black labels they also redesigned their company sleeves. EMI introduced their record tokens on this sleeve and the price was 6/- to 50/-. Used from January 1963 to summer 1964 with Parlophone series R 4989 – R 5222 including The Beatles singles R 5015 “From Me To You”, R 5055 “She Loves You”, R 5084 “I Want To Hold Your Hand”, R 5114 “Can’t Buy Me Love”, R 5160 “A Hard Day’s Night” and R 5200 “I Feel Fine”. THIS IS THE MOST COMMON AND WAS USED WITH MINOR VARIATIONS FROM JAN 63 TO MID-ISH 1964.....IT MAY BE OK FOR AHDN BUT IT MAY BE PUSHING IT TO USE ON I FEEL FINE ( ALSO INCLUDES THE INSTRUMENTS ERROR & REDACTION WHICH DATE TO AROUND FEB/MAY 63 ) SOME OF THESE SLEEVES HAVE ROUNDED TOPS SO THEY DO VARY.

Type 4 sleeve. Dark green sleeve with white print and wave top. The price for the EMI record tokens was 6/- to 50/- on the sleeve. Used from summer 1964 until November 1964 with Parlophone series R 5103 – R 5222 including The Beatles singles R 5114 “Can’t Buy Me Love”, R 5160 “A Hard Day’s Night” and R 5200 “I Feel Fine”. CORRECT TOP OF THE CLASS !!

NOW HE MISSES A SLEEVE, ITS A KIND OF HYBRID OF TYPR 4 AND 5 IT HAS THE LOGO OF TYPE 5 BUT THE SIDE FLIPS PF TYPE 4...THE REAR IS DIFFERENT TO BOTH. USED ON IFF & MAYBE tICKET BUT THATS A STRETCH

Type 5 sleeve. Green sleeve with Parlophone and globe EMI logo. The copyright text below the logos is “TRADE MARK OF THE PARLOPHONE CO. LTD”. The price for the EMI record tokens was 6/- to 50/- on the sleeve. Used from November 1964 until autumn 1965 with Parlophone series R 5103 – R 5389 including The Beatles singles R 5200 “I Feel Fine”, R 5265 “Ticket To Ride” and R 5305 “Help!”. AS DISCUSS THIS SHOULD BE RENAMED TYPE SIX AND IS NOT USED FOR IFF

Type 8 sleeve. Green sleeve with green Parlophone logo on the front and “Miners” advertisement on the back. The price for the EMI record tokens was 6/- to 50/- on the sleeve. Used from late 1965 until 1968 with Parlophone series R 5225 – R 5788 including The Beatles singles R 5452 “Paperback Writer”, R 5493 “Eleanor Rigby”, R 5620 “All You Need Is Love”, R 5655 “Hello Goodbye” and R 5675 “Lady Madonna”. THIS I AM AFRAID IS TOTALLY WRONG, SHOLD CALLED TYPE SEVEN AND WAS USED FOR TICKET TO RIDE AND HELP....THERE ARE TWO VARIANTS ONE WITH FLIPS ON EACH SIDE ANOTHER WITH ONE SIDE AND BOTTOM FLIP

Type 7 sleeve. Green sleeve with black Parlophone logo and “Fran The Fan” advertisement on the back. Three different “Fran The Fan” cartoons in green and black advertise Morphy-Richards hair products on the back of the sleeves. The price for the EMI record tokens was 6/- to 50/- on the sleeve. Used from late 1965 until 1968 with Parlophone series R 5225 – R 5788 including The Beatles singles R 5389 “We Can Work It Out”, R 5452 “Paperback Writer”, R 5493 “Eleanor Rigby”, R 5620 “All You Need Is Love”, R 5655 “Hello Goodbye” and R 5675 “Lady Madonna”. AS DISCUSSED SHOULD BE TYPE 8 AND HE HAS THE M IN WRONG ORDER, VERSION 1 IS ACTUALL VERSION 3, VERSION 2 IS VERS 1 AND VERS 3 S/B 2.........VERS 1 & 2 LAST TILL END 65, VERS 3 IS THE ONLY ONE THAT SURVIVES PAST DAY TRIPPER.

Type 6 sleeve. Green sleeve with Parlophone and globe EMI logo. The copyright text below the logos is “TRADE MARK OF THE GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD”. The price for the EMI record tokens was 6/- to 50/- on the sleeve. Used from autumn 1965 until late 1965 with Parlophone series R 5225 – R 5788 including The Beatles single R 5389 “We Can Work It Out”. S/B CALLED TYPE 9 AND IS MOST COMMON ON PAPERBACK, BUT LATE DAY TRIPPERS CAN HAVE THEM AS CAN EARLY YELLOW SUBS

Type 9 sleeve. Green sleeve with green Parlophone logo on the front and “Miners” advertisement on the back. The price for the EMI record tokens was 7/3 to 50/- on the sleeve. Used from 1966 until 1968 with Parlophone series R 5357 – R 5788 including The Beatles singles R 5452 “Paperback Writer”, R 5493 “Eleanor Rigby”, R 5620 “All You Need Is Love”, R 5655 “Hello Goodbye” and R 5675 “Lady Madonna” S/B CALLED TYPE 10, IN USE PROBABLY ONLY FOR YELLOW SUB

Type 10 sleeve. Green sleeve with green Parlophone logo on the front and “Miners” advertisement on the back. The price for the EMI record tokens was 7/3 to 50/- on the sleeve. Used from 1966 until 1968 with Parlophone series R 5357 – R 5788 including The Beatles singles R 5452 “Paperback Writer”, R 5493 “Eleanor Rigby”, R 5620 “All You Need Is Love”, R 5655 “Hello Goodbye” and R 5675 “Lady Madonna”. S/B TYPE 11 AND FOUND ON PENNY LANE & AYNIL

Type 11 sleeve. Green sleeve with Parlophone and globe EMI logo. The copyright text below the logos is “TRADE MARK OF THE GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD”. The price for the EMI record tokens was 7/3- to 50/- on the sleeve. S/B TYPE 12 USED MID/LATE 67 TO MID 68 SO AYNIL HG AND LM ONLY

Type 12 sleeve. Green sleeve with Parlophone and swirl. These were at least two different backsides used this sleeve design, advertising different LPs. Used from 1968 with Parlophone series R 5357 – R 5931 including The Beatles singles re-issued 1969. APART FROM BEING TYPR 13 I AM HAPPY WITH THIS, THE EARLIER ONE CAN BE SEEN SOMETIMES ON LATE LM'S. VERS TWO LASTS UNTIL 1972

I've mainly stuck to the Spizer book when it came to matching my UK 7s with company sleeves, and there seem to be only two things that are different to Henry's version:
1. There's no mention of the "Fran the Fan" sleeve version 3 being the only one that survived past DT.
(I always wondered why the other two are far rarer than version 3)
2. The type 10 miners sleeve (with the woman's face to the left) is assigned to later copies of SFF instead of YS.

What about the ad-sleeve of 67? MIne came with a copy of AYNIL? Is this the only single that was issued in that sleeve or HG/Walrus as well?

Sorry, should have been more specific: the one with album ads that also features "Collection of Oldies".

Bloody hell I totally forgot that sleeve DOH, that need's to be added to my list !! In fact there are two of them, one with oldies the other with no Beatles ( singing postman, yardbirds instead etc )

However they an exception amongst the Parlophone sleeves as its not specific to Parlophone. It can be found on Parl Columbia, HMV Capitol and stateside releases. The singing postman version has a lot of tamla motown so that one can be used for them too.

I think oldies is earlier so Aynil, the other is HG, however they both may have been in use for both, on this I am uncertain !!!
