Since this is an open area of this forum, I am going to discuss some items I recently came across...

If you are a blues fan, this might likely make you smile too...

 !! Are you in the UK? I never score this well anywhere around here. Some very nice discs there, and they all seem in fantastic condition! I saw a couple of those Arhoolie Fred McDowell's at university, but that was the only time I've seen them before or since...

Hey Pacey...

No, I am in "Acadiana"
The Cajun area around Lafayette in the central part of Louisiana... a bit West of New Orleans (on the Western edge of the Delta South, basically)

In other words i reside in the Banana Republic...

:P

And yes, amazing condition! Most other copies I have run across look like they
lost a fight to a herd of alley cats just before a truck backed up over it.

This sweet++ condition is nearly as rare as the actual release itself, imho
as far as blues platters.

ps: forgot to show this one...

Haha ahhh, Cajun Country... Arhoolie did a lot of cajun LPs, probably why you've found so many there!

As a side note, these were owned by a Reverend, according to the wobj.
Good Gawd what a collection he must've had!

The Snooks disc is one of my personal favs of the haul.

I have been fortunate enough to see him play live. He and Professor Longhair
played together at an early NO Jazz Fest... Snooks really does not get the
recog he deserves, imho.

I do not doubt these are hard to find on that side of the pond. Heck, I have only run
across a handful in my travels (worth picking up, condition wise) and I reside near Snooks hometown.

Lucky guy... I heard "Funky Malaguena" when I was a kid and hadn't heard anything like it before :D Hugely underrated.
