Jantiya sat on the ground, staring at her prisoner. They were staying in the basement of a smuggler. The woman had been crudely tied by the man, her arms and legs bound by filthy rags. She was unreconizable as the Thema, her skin covered in dirt and her hair matted and tangled. The smuggler did not reconize her as his ruler, and only believed what Jantiya had told him: her sister was prone to fits of insanity, and often proclaimed herself to be the Holy ruler. The smuggler, seperate from the law as he was, did not take this as heresy, but believed Jantiya when she explained that her sister's unfortunate condition would likely lead to her death if the priests discovered it. It was reason enough to let them hide in his hidden basement as they awaited the return of his ship; that, and a healthy sum of gold. "You ready, girlies?" he asked in a crude voice, his words slurring together. "S'time ta go." A trek through the sewers brought the party to a small harbor where the smuggler's ship awaited. "Off to the Ceannic League," Jantiya annouced to the Thema as they boarded, slightly grinning. "Ready for the ride?" |

Tahirah's eyes slowly opened as she felt the strange sensation of moving slowly from side to side. It almost felt as if they were....on a ship. Her eyes shot open wide as she remembered what happened, and she tried to stand up, but let out a cry of rage as she found herself bound and unable to move. She glanced around in outrage, and she then looked at her hands and dress. She was dirty...........how dare this happen to her! She was the crowned Thema of Kiatu! She couldnt be dirty!! She calmed down once she relized bigger things were now at stake. Like her pride, for one. She growled insulting words through her gag as she glared menacingly, but helplessly, at anyone in her vicinity. This could not be happening to her. 'I must be having a nightmare, or there is going to be hell to pay.' she thought angrily. |

Jantiya came up behind the Thema, carrying a small, wrapped bundle of food. She sat before the ruler, unwrapping the cloth to reveal some cheese and a small loaf of bread. Jantiya peered beyond the Thema, as if she could see the ship's progress. "Right now we're likely just going over the border of your country's control into Ceannic seas. I suppose you haven't traveled much, beyond a few truce meetings... this will be quite the adventure, eh?" With this thought she took out her dagger and sliced through the bonds quieting the Thema, as well as those wrapped around her arms. "Eat, and don't try to escape. They all believe you're insane. In any case I doubt those who run this ship have any regard for your position. You could try and jump off, but I suppose you have more sense than that." With this she left the woman to eat. |

She watched the woman carefully, her eyes narrowing slightly. After the woman left, she dusted herself off, sighing and shaking her head. Her eyes looked to the food, and she watched it suspiciously before taking a few small bites, then throwing it down in disgust. She was the Thema! She deserved a perfect feast, with gourmet meals and fruits! She got to her feet slowly, and decided she should have a look around, get to know her surroundings. She made a face of contempt as she walked, used to the feeling of roses beneath her toes, not dust. She made her way up to the main deck, and her mouth fell partly open as she saw the vast ocean around her. |
