STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THE WAR; Not meant to get anyone mad... >_> <_<

Yes, we know it's wrong.
Yes, we know it shouldn't have happened.
Yes, we're all upset that so many soldiers have died in Iraq/Iran/ect.

But for God's sake, people, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

You can bash Bush all you want, you can be unhappy about your family members over there risking their lives for us, and so on and so forth. But no matter how much whining you do, this is how things are. If the president wants us to stay in those foreign countries and continue fighting, that's what it's gonna be.

You are simply a citizen, a civilian, an average person. You have no say in what the president does and decides. Believe it or not, he is truly doing what he thinks is the right thing to do, whether you agree or disagree.
And family members who go off to fight? That was their choice, and they do go in knowing they might die in the process. So don't go saying it's "Bush's fault" that your son or whoever got killed. Remember, it was THEIR choice.

Okay...since I'm afraid some anti-war maniac might find this and blast me, I'm gonna stop now. If anyone wants to comment, go ahead; this is just my opinion, really.

Im not a terribly political person, but dont you know how the us government is supposed to work at all? By the people, for the people. And yes, we might be just average citizens, but the president, congress, and all the state legislaters are supposed to be what are called "Public Servants". They are supposed to interpret the WILL of the people, not what they want to do.

this is going to sound irrelevant, but there was an episode of the simpsons, where the president signed a bill and said, "This will please my bosses"
another guy said, "Mr. President, you have a boss?"
The president said, "Yes, all 250 million of them".

Case in point? This is not a dictatorship, or a monarchy. and if we want to protest what the government does, then we have every right to.

And honestly, really now. Do we know that he thinks its the right thing to do? Or do we even know whats going on in his mind? Just a thought.

Yes, I understand we have freedom of speech, and therefore the right to protest against things we don't like. I'm not stupid or anything...

But then again, let's think of this for a sec. Think of people like Cindy Sheehan, who has organized rallies against Bush to end the war. Think of all the anti-war protest groups out there. Surely, Bush hears what they want and knows what they want. However, he's already sent people over to Iraq/ect, and he is determined to finish what has been started. And until what the government wants to achieve in those countries has been successfully carried out, it's not likely we'll be pulling out until then.

Countries like Iraq have innocent people stuck in governments that mistreat them, do not care about their opinions or what they want, and will kill them if they do not follow the leader's personal policies. American soldiers are over there so we can get rid of said leaders and help the people form a more stable community, and even if in the end it doesn't work, we were only trying to help. Yes, this might not click with some people. But that's how it is.

Whether or not Bush himself thinks this is the right thing to do, of course nobody knows. But he's made the decision to do this, and there's no turning back at this point. So in the end, no matter how much we protest and go against the war, until what the American forces were sent over there to do is accomplished (or at least, as much as can be accomplished is), that's it. This is not something that can simply be ended when we want it to.

[I've said enough for now...I wonder why I even made this... ]

I agree with Pixie. We need to help these other contries. And plus Bush just can't say war time and ship soldiers off. The Congess need to vote on if they want to declare war or not. And everyone should stop saying it's bush's fualt. Once you sign on that dotted line, you are no longer a citizen, your body belongs to the government. That what many JROTC instructors told me when i was thinking about joining the military. So soldiers don't really have the freedom that we think they do. And their freedom of speech is weaken also. Which means they can't say anything negetive about the US or it's government (which is stupid anyways). Don't know why i made this post, it's mostly goes back over what Pixie said. but o'well.

You guys are really serious about this stuff. That's good that you are involved in our government.

I have to agree with the amazing knowledge of Monkey D. and Pixie. (Maybe it's because they are older than me)

Democrats and Republicans listen only a small bit to us ordinary folks. They do what they think will benefit them. And their party.

Bush is fine where he is. He can't stop everything in the world for the U.S. He's not god. Sure he can't pronouce some words perfectly, but it shows that the whole country is controlled by a man that understands ordinary people. (Not like Adolf Hitler.)

We should all understand that he is a Southern man. I'm speaking from years of livin' in de southern part of de US. he will say dumb things.

Basically: Congress said the war is okay, so we have to live with it.

Yes, it's a topic more people should be concerned about. But not in the "zOMGBUSHISANA-HOLE!1!@!!" way. That, unfortunately, is how many of the kids at my school think, which is sad, really.

Well, I'm 16...and I read the political editorials in the paper everyday.

You're right, for the most part, all the big guys just see us little guys as the way into office, our opinions don't really matter in the long run...sad.

Yep, once Congress declares war, that's it, folks. We're goin' in, and staying as long as required.

I really, REALLY hope no immature, angry people find this topic.
