 Dimension seven went through a great reboot. It was a success, however, much corrupted data is left behind. Some tamers and digimon, even towns have disappeared, and in their place, a new influx of tamers drawn sucked into the world from other dimensions. A good number of people on the dimension previously unused to digimon have suddenly received digivices and a sudden urge to check out this digital world that they’ve been hearing about.

However, as usual, things are not quite as they seem. The reformatting has brought a dire change in the digital world. A darkness that had previously been growing secretly in primary village has hatched, and escaped the village during the confusion. This digimon, born of powerful digimon hatched at the exact moment of the reboot and was uploaded with all the evils of the previous digital world that were meant to be sealed away. Now, growing stronger in the wild, it seeks to return the world to its’ previous form, or if not that, to nothingness.

This digimon managed to convince a group of new digimon-less tamers to be its’ tamer, and as its’ power grew, supplied them with digimon created of its’ own data – light-aligned digimon with odd crystals in their skulls to signify their allegiance to the dark digimon.

The digimon, now evolved into a powerful, charismatic, and cruel Piddomon, resides with his favorite brainwashed tamer, renamed Sara, in a castle in the clouds. He acts as thought he is running a new religion, giving tamers their favorite digimon with his odd powers, and being a philanthropist. He encourages digimon and tamers to visit his grand palace, to learn of the religion, and to perhaps sample some of his new incredible digimon.

But under the palace, in rooms only he and select cult members can enter, cruel experiments on tamer and digimon are behind held, including something so heinous, only Piddomon can stomach it.
