You haven't posted to your tumblr since March 4, but I found that particular post interesting and a little disheartening. And of course today's comic is pointing a finger at whatever the hell is going on in DC these days.

I've always been more-or-less apolitical. No political party in existence matches my personal views in even a majority of categories, never mind in all of them - so I don't have any party affiliation. I used to be slightly Republican but with strongly liberal leanings. Now I can't stand to listen to them talk. I was appalled the other day when some politico or other excused Nunes' [insert strong descriptive word here - I can't settle] "action" last week by saying that he "was defending his boss." Excuse me? The President is NOT the boss of any member of Congress; House or Senate. It's their friggin' job to act as a check upon him - and it's his to act as a check upon THEM. (Sorry - my bad. I guess it must be Jared's job now. Why not? He's in charge of everything else while #45 plays golf.)

I can't imagine how much hair-pulling you must be doing these days trying to figure out how to keep this comic and the books somewhat aligned to reality without running up against our REAL reality, which has a few eerie parallels to the early comic. Civil War between Red and Blue, anyone? Plus Russia in there trying to get California to really and truly secede from the country?

Argh.

All modern politics aside.......I can sum up today's comic in three words...... "George is PISSED!"

It's hard to comprehend how that whole "15 minutes of fame" lust would still be in effect once you were dead. But apparently the desire to be famous takes hold of some people and never lets go.

Y'know.... if this whole afterlife premise were true, then the realization that some indeterminable distance down the road, our heroes/heroines would have to deal with Mr. Tremendous actively trying to get noticed by the living ... argh.

But it's just a story, right? RIGHT? *shudders*
