I don't like this story one bit.

I mean, on the face of it, it makes sense. We know Clarice is looking for a way to become immortally infamous, and we know that Hirose is working with her (a fact which, until recently, was known by nobody else). It's not strange to imagine him swiping a jar of ultraflu via ghost teleport, and it's plausible for Australian intelligence to have found out.

But in that case, we have an unsolved question: why was it a Muscular Guy Disillusioned With Politics bearing the news? Why did we see that script play out in what - ultimately - was not an attempt to manipulate?

If Hope and Pat react in a way that throws off Clarice's expectations, what is her logical next move? Isn't it to take another taste in more controlled conditions? What if the evidence was leaked to the people she thought would be most likely to get through?
