I bet this is what Mr. Douglass was worried about in the last strip. Lincoln is making some pretty bold predictions that Franklin would have prefaced with all sorts of caveats like "just one possibility" -- had he the tactlessness to say them at all. :-P

I wouldn't be worried if Pat remembered the "prophecy" clearly; he almost certainly has the sense to take time travel predictions with a grain of salt, and if he doesn't, the people around him will very quickly remind him. What's far more concerning is the possibility that he WON'T remember the encounter clearly, but only have that knowledge implanted into his subconscious, where it eats away at him the same way Clarice's talk with Hope did before she realized what was happening.
