Have you ever... Ever felt like this? How strange things happen, are you going Round the Twist
Who's afraid of the big bad wolf? (Note: I have no involvement with the series, I just think it looks awesome)

So far, that's what it looks like. The trap has been laid, the bait has been taken, the trap has been sprung ...

And my husband comments, "The general knows his lot have never been able to turn any agent, and yet he's not suspicious when one suddenly turns up."

I know my way around explosives... when Mare says 'small' is she being literal or physical?

A 'small' bomb can still be extremely powerful. The M67 Mk II High-Explosive Fragmentation Grenade, the standard HE/Frag used by the U.S. military and several of our partners, has a 'kill' radius of five meters, an 'injury' radius of 10m and a debris radius of 50-100m. That paper bag could easily hold three such grenades.

And there is an explosive compound currently being tested by the army that is ten times more powerful.

So when she says small, are we talking small bomb or small blast?
It takes an average of forty-three muscles to frown, seventeen muscles to smile...

But only three for proper trigger squeeze.

We don't know yet.

Still, probably big enough to take out the General and Mare, should she wish to trigger it.

I'm reminded of a line from Fritz Leiber's The Big Time, in which a character who frequently speaks in blank verse says of what she's carrying,

"It is nothing but a tiny tactical atomic bomb."

That is what she's carrying.

Unless, it's a bluff. I could totally see her bluffing. But then I could also see her not bluffing, I could also see her bluffing but then it turns out to actually be a bomb when the general calls her bluff and they're both surprised.

She can look inside the bag without opening it, though.

Just because someone can doesn't mean they do. If she was distracted, she may have grabbed the baseball-sized atomic weapon in a paper bag instead of her lunch from the refrigerator.

That's happened to me way too many times.

Just glad I'm not the only one.
