Interesting datum to note: ghosts are not proven to be camera-invisible. (Of course, we had that strange interlude where Ben was courting Rose, but that could have been Pat using his chip to insert what he was seeing into the video feed.) |

What I find more interesting, for the moment, is that Amelia is worried about appearing in Burke's picture, whereas we can look over Burke's shoulder and see that she does not appear in it. Burke is certainly not aware that Hope was embracing anything other than empty air. I suppose it's possible that, given more information than she has, Burke could look at her image in various wavelengths (as with beautiful false-color pictures of galaxies and nebulae on Astronomy Picture of the Day) and maybe find some frequency that would reveal Amelia. Amelia knows more about being a ghost than I do; maybe she knows there's some frequency that would do it. I doubt it, but I'm not writing this strip. No, my primary interest (to the point of jumping up and down a little) is in discovering the nature of Plan Four. |

Well, that's part of the puzzler - the implication is that two people could look at the same video with only one of them seeing a ghost in it. Hard to imagine considering video is just a lot of bits, representing nothing but the visual wavelength, but I'm willing to suspend my disbelief. |

Crazy speculation time! (Note: I have a cold, thus this post may be the result of fever) Burke is actually Clarice, using her ghost's social distortion to appear otherwise, for the sole purpose of messing with Hope for shits and giggles... And keeping an eye on her, of course. |

Have you ever... Ever felt like this? How strange things happen, are you going Round the Twist Who's afraid of the big bad wolf? (Note: I have no involvement with the series, I just think it looks awesome)

Burke is the other Chosen One who could've been had not You Know Who attacked Harry Potter instead--Or some variation of the fact that Burke is eaten up with jealousy and hatred toward Hope over the fact that Pat chose her rather than Burke. Burke could've been the chosen one, and now she's stuck as a bitter, spiteful, and frankly hippy Neville. Could be Burke is Pat's ex. Or maybe she's the first of a new generation of chip-heads created by Clarice and brainwashed into thinking Hope isn't good enough for the giant slab of beef with eyes Hope gets to climb when she goes home after every shift. Seriously, folks, this shiznit could turn Jerry Springer on us. That or she's just the kind of Dunning-Kruger Syndrome bully who isn't sufficiently cognizant of the vast, yawning difference between herself and Hope to realize that she's having fun throwing rocks at the mother of all hornets' nests. In this case, social Darwinism dictates that Burke, what with her being such a disappointment since she might've made a decent moneyshot had her father been more careful, should befall something which prevents her from muddying the genepool and breeding. |

If you can't live without me, why aren't you dead yet? I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too. If God wants all the credit, he's getting all the blame.

Or she could simply be aware that Hope is a more competent doctor and is likelier than she is to get that residency she wants. http://agirlandherfed.com/1.815.html I want to see what Amelia is going to do. |

Who, me? Depends on what kind of person Burke is, OTHER THAN a vindictive B-word, which we already knew. Is her primary goal in life to get a well-paying medical career, or to marry (or simply bed) someone with a well-paying medical career? We don't know this yet. Still waiting on Amelia.... |
