So, rooster sauce? Never tried it. Of course, I can't help but substitute the word cock, which would probably color what you expect it to taste like. :) Really cool take on Clarice, by the way. I'd wondered why the whole classic French cuisine was mentioned. She's an evil Julia Child. And, since she never plans for anything, she's extremely fluid in her approach, which I'd been wondering about because she never seems to let up or let one apparent failure stop her from her next attempt. Either we're talking one plot within another etcetera to infinity, or she's utterly capable of working toward her goal based on what "ingredients" she has to work with. It's all spontaneous, so, like the ghost lady says, you've got to lie to her about what's in the pantry. Wonder how that'll happen, what with Clarice having gotten a mouthful of the unyielding King Cyborg and that didn't come out anything like I'd intended.

Agent Peng has it right - Clarice is making it up as she goes along, throwing together any of her assets and secrets as needed; those assets and secrets are the real problem. Sriracha sauce is great, though: it peps up pretty much all rice-based dishes like nobody's business. But I see from the alt text Otter is spice-averse in general, so not really a source on the subject. |

Spicy food is far more terrifying than most people know. I started a thread to geek out about it: Fun facts about Mouth Lava. Also, you are right: Sriracha Sauce is a divine gift from foreign food isle. I've never dipped anything in it, though - that just sounds all kinds of awful. With the spicy food phobia, I can relate. Grew up the only white kid in a primarily Mexican neighborhood. Jalapenos were in just about everything and oh the pain, the wailing and gnashing of teeth! Then I discovered curry. And it burned terribly but in a heavenly good way that I had never known before. Been a spice fan ever since. |

Nope, you're right and the egg is on my face. Chen was her name in the roughs. No idea why it came out in my brain late in the game, though. |
