So. Filler post about the Cat Jar.

I applaud you, Otter!

Whether this was last-minute B.S. engine machinations, or the actual thought-out story of the item when you were decorating the background of your comic... this was awesome.

First off, there -must- be a cat jar. Also a 'win' jar and a 'fail' jar. This much is clear.

Second off, how many other comic artists out there can legitimately say everything in the background has a purpose?

So a quick question - What's with the kid-sized stool pat is sitting on an why hasn't i exploded into splinters under his massive girth?

Intentional! There HAD to be a cat jar. I think it was probably displayed in a more prominent place when they first invented it, then they moved it to a remote room to impose a Walk of Shame in addition to the financial penalty.

I assume the stool is made of oak and was finely crafted. Or maybe it's painted metal. Or maybe the explosion is coming? ;)

HOLYCRAP. That was image 1000 in that index.

Anyways. Otter posted an explanation page of the Cat Jar when the comic was going to be late on Monday - Basically any time an Agent shares a cat meme/pic (not familiar? http://www.icanhascheezburger.com shall show you the "light".) with the rest of the network, they put a quarter in the jar (when you are a pseudo-hive-mind with internet access, this is the equivalent of a swear jar). When the jar gets full they donate it to an animal shelter.

They've donated what, $87k so far?

LIGHTBULB! Otter, wallpaper idea - Cat Jar. Josh or one of the other mains with their face in their hands as they drop in one or more quarters. Knowing Josh he may as well just throw a roll in there and be good for a week.

Well, I didn't "catch the filler," so what did Otter say?

Oh. IS that what she said?

Yes, that is indeed what the text in the filler said.

Doing the math, with 400 agents over 5 years, that means the average agent posts a cat-meme 3.3 times a week.
