I'm having a lot of trouble deciphering the last speech of the woman - it's obscure in how it corresponds to a progression of thoughts. Maybe "if I'm right in thinking he's a cop, you're probably an undercover cop or something and you'd better do it somewhere other than my corner"?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure "made" in this context means "identified as".

Not at all sure what Hope means by "Woof."

I think that's a "you treat me like a dog" comment. Pat tells Hope to "stay here" like leaving a dog outside a store while he runs in.

Edited for clarity/spelling/pronouns.

Ahhhhh yes, that fits. And of course Pat didn't mean it that way at all ... more like "park the helpless civilian* in the closest to a safe place we've got around here and hope she doesn't wander into danger."

Yes, I don't have a problem with that term.

It translates as "you and your cop friend are putting a real crimp in my business."

Although I don't know if prostitutes use the word "inconvenient." Or "crimp," excluding hair products. Maybe even including hair products. I've never knowingly spoken with a prostitute so it's mainly dialogue loosely based on procedurals and the whatnot.

I should go do research in this area, but I don't think I will.

Thanks. So, good, I got the gist of what she was saying. In retrospect, I think the presence of "I guess" in her sentence threw me, because it makes it sound like she's making a hypothesis rather than an aggressive statement. That's probably just me, though.

Despite being four syllables, I think the word "inconvenient" is in the vocabularies of most or all social classes of Americans. "Crimp," possibly less so.
