Koala Commander
What was the most e-mailed subject exactly? :D

Also I hope you had a template for those walls. I love the various poses she takes, very good.

In panel 3 of R63 The Fed says:

They split us into East and West coast branches.
Take notice junior investigators! This is new info (isn't it?).

I think we knew they were in 2 cities but not that they were east and west. Take a look at this thread for more info.

Ha, so this is the burning question that got me onto this forum! Correct me if I'm wrong, but the revision seems to redirect the topic from "it can't be a coincidence that half the agents are assigned to one city" to "it can't be a coincidence that a fifth of the agents have died so far," which fact in the original wasn't revealed until the next strip.

I think I like it better this way. It is in fact meaningful that there is a concentration of agents in one city (they're looking for the "agent who starts the war"), but it's not the most salient thing the mind would first seize on. The new phrasing, talking about East Coast and West Coast branches, serves to downplay the oddity of that concentration. And if the city is DC, as I suspect, it wouldn't even sound odd to a layperson.

Maybe I'm just getting the numbering all fiddled up, but I think this is the one after the "that can't be a coincidence" strip.

Either way, less exposition-y than the previous iteration, and all these dialogue redos keep making my day.

Sorta - they're both being compacted together, I think, in a much more fluent style.

Oops, I guess it's now revealed that the city is indeed DC (R30).

No "if" about it.

They are either in DC or close enough to it that the Washington Monument is within easy walking distance.

.....Aw, Minivet, you beat me to it. (Are you on the east coast yourself? I just woke up!)
