Somewhere (I can't find it now) I thought Hope finds out Patrick has been holding back. She's very very good and with sixth sense talents that Patrick doesn't have but in regular sparing we haven't seen him at full throttle yet. Others please correct me if I'm remembering this wrong.

Not at the time mind you (WORDPLAY!), but it certainly makes sense with all the other presented evidence. Fed better get some chapstick or something, those lips in panel 4 look painful!
