What just for laneing??

Something cheap and cheerful, homelite or equivalent.

Get a decent chain as that's what does the work.

Huskys and sthils are great machines, but you aren't using them all day everyday so won't justify the cost.

14" bar is all you'll need too.

Mines a 58cc husky copy did have 20" bar but changed to an 18 now. Is big and heavy. But was bought for jacking big trees!!! Even that was not big enough to go straight through though!!!

Must get a new sharpening stone and get the chain sorted though.

Good luck, and seen as it's you Rottie maybe you should consider a training day prior to letting loose with a saw!!

Training.....lol, its the day I get bored and fit an exhaust and noz to it thats the worry.......pmsl..

Good advicd though, its just for lanes, and trimming the odd bush.....hehe

Some sweet ones on flea bay for 100 ish.....new...

Ill grab one of those..
Therefore...one hand saw for sale! f**king hard work, creates a sweat and elbow ache, can deliver for £18.00 a mile...lol

So off I go...to book a training course....and buy all the safety gear.....wicked,...

The eBay link look just like mine!!!

Had no problems with it. The only issue I had was breaking the starter rope.
