Just a quick question... What OS Map apps are people using on their andriod devices? Looking at using a tablet to help navigate to the lanes. Thanks in advance, LD. |

You can, it will track your route for the day, you can add markers whèn your out and about and you can plan routes on it. But.... It's not a sat nav, it won't work out the route between the way points and it won't tell you to turn around when safe to do so. The best way to think of it is as an electronic interactive map. It's like having a navigator with their finger on the map, at all times, and they have traced where you've been allover your OS map with a pen. I use Quo and that is the same as above, but I don't think it's android available. Think it's windows only. Thing with both is you have to by the maps in small tiles, in quo 1:50k is in 10Km grids and 1:25k is in 7.5Km grids As I understand it it's similar in MMsp, but you might be able to get the maps in bundles. You can export routes to some sat navs, and to most GPS devices though. |
