I found this after doing a few lanes on the way to staustell last saturday, guess its time to get the mig out.....

Only thing that is odd is there is another mount 6inches behind it.......strange eh....

It's not odd really, Mishitibus were never great for there factory rustproofing and 16 odd years of road salt and mud have corroded the steel. The reduced section has failed as it is now under sized.

But all is not lost as you so rightly said, time to get the mig out!!

The body mount near by is because yours is a LWB they tended to just extend chassis by welding on an extra bit!!

Landrover actually cut the 110 chassis in the middle welded in 20" of box section and created the 130, job done as they say.

Make sure you check the others out while your doing your repair as they are likely to be in a similar condition.

It's a 6.9tonne Mercedes 709,

It's been converted to a Holy camper. Working hard in making it agnostic!!!
