in the end only 2 trucks went on the long haul up to norfolk for the weekend, and it was a long haul taking a couple of breaks on the way took us close to 7hrs on the road at speeds of 60-65mph where we could.

Night 1 was just getting unpacked bathed or showered a meal and a few drinks before our adventures began the next day,

Breakfast first £8.50 each for a fry up ouch... but then u realise its an all you can eat breakfast for that, so if you wanted to you just kept going back for more or had the cearal, toast, crumpets, crossants yoghuts etc that was available so we fueled up for the day.

we arrived with the rain the night before passing many flooded feilds but the morning bought the sun and most of the tracks we did where fairly dry.

on day one we opted to do the route that included Pedders way an old roman road that runs the full length or Norfolk just about, some sections are not drivable by vehicles, but large stretches are still legal to drive, I have to say Norfolk appears to be very quite, we only came across a few walkers in the lanes, no other vehicles expect a tractor or two, even the tarmac roads were empty until you got closer to towns

a slide show of some of what we did on day one... pictures are a mix of Yogi, Kims, Tina's and mine

day two to follow soon

Guess it depends on what you were after, as a weekend away with lots of green lanes (99% of them easy) where 4 wheel drive was hardly needed and good company yea it was.

if on the other hand your looking for challanging green lanes to do then no your better off sticking to our local lanes, Norfolk is flat as a pancake in places, the unmade roads are mostly well maintained and there is little chance of even scratching your vehicle, though we did find a couple out of 70 odd lanes we had a look at over weekend, this from a plan of close to 140 lanes.

but on both days we spent very little time on tarmac, would I do it again.... probably not been there sampled that, only thing I can say is I've driven mostly all the still legal parts of Pedders way before they decide to close it or restrict it even more

well at least you had a good time mate,
bit to far for me to go unless i know there is some good stuff,

to be honest i think we are spoilt with the vast supply of lanes that we have on our doorstep,
most of which are great to drive,

speak soon mate,
