Poor Pete Rang at the last minute to say his truck had died and he couldn't make it, so that left Vit-boy aka Ian and myself. with Ian not having done many lanes in and around Devon; instead of heading to South Brent we turned tail and headed for Lopwel and the water frontl then lower tamar valley continuing upto Oakhampton and down the other side of the moors taking in fingle Bridge and ending at North Bovey ford. one lane I decided to do as there were no other trucks with us that were concerned about damage, proved my thoughts right that it was a bit tight, so now the poor old Paj needs lots of T cutting and waxing, hopefully this will do the trick but under the mud might be hiding a few deeper scratches.. now a note of disappointment... Lydford byway... the week before when i did this solo was nice deep puddles so deep that it claimed another front reg plate, this week the deep puddles have all had drainage slots cut into them so very little water, the nice little axle twister at the end has been flattened and there is a very large pile of hard core and a digger waiting to finish the work parked at the farm entrance end sorry no pictures of the day from me nor do i think Ian took any but it was a good day |
