Well what can i san i say apart from a big thanks for a great day out with Mike , John , Paul & Sandra. Myself & my boy Sam met up with everyone & set off from marsh mills at about 10.30 where the day just got better & better, the weather was fantastic with some great lanes which at the start looked pretty easy but reqd some skill on more than a few occasions to drive through without damage ha ha .
The maverick did not appear to get muddy until about mid afternnon but thats what its all about, a few more scrapes , one small dent , gearbox a bit noisy in 1st & 2nd gear , door mirror still hanging on by its wires ( good old ebay ).
As the day drew to a close i thought we where on our way home when a detour was taken for one last lane of the night to arrive home at about 21.00 after what can only be described as a fantastic day once again.
Many thanks

( pics to follow soon )

Three trucks meet at Marsh Mills on a glorius Sunday morning and headed for South Brent to Start the adventure that would would see us doing about 120 miles round trip. I was unpacking the Vit at about 21.30 so a few hours later than normal.

I had planned to take in many well known lanes so as to keep the day flowing where possible with a few less well traveled, these might have changed since last time we had done them and also 10 lanes that Big Nasty and I had never done before.

a couple of these proved to be entertaining and had not been driven in a long time, one of these needed extreme caution as trying to push round trees that had incrouched into the lane ment the trucks were very close to a steep slope that would have ment a world of pain if it all went wrong. the trucks felt as if they were slipping over at one point .... big nasty has a pic of the drop though as ever it never looks as bad in the pic..

the other new lanes where mosty easy going with some great scenery, in the end we did 31 of the planned 45 lanes for the day but we had managed to get in all the new ones i had down to explore :D

all in all a great day out
