In the end only 4 cars set out from the Rose & Crown car park and took in as many lanes as possible while heading to the totnes area. there we took in all the best ones the area had to offer and headed back out via the byway heading towards Halwell but taking in the old SD 103 just to see what the repairs had done to this once great lane... its now flat the step and all the axle twisters have gone the part where the road had started to collapse has been filled with large boulders and hardcore so thats one good thing the only other good thing is that its still open to vehicles but is now tame and suitable for novices.while heading that way took in corkscrew hill and all that area as well, lots of new signs and black country road markers on new posts are now up helping to stop the you shouldn't be here moaners, dont expect many more to happen for a while though due to up coming budget cuts. in this area Bret provided us with a bit of entertainment and started a new sport of tree stump wrestling not sure its going to take off to be honest i think it could be a costly past time... was a cracking day with Pete and Bret suppling most of the banter and lots and lots of lanes no idea how many we did but we spent as much time as possible off tarmac a few pics to follow soon |
