i headed back a bit early as we went past my house. anyways, the name of the game today was tight tight tight.

i made a bit of a mess of my roof, but my lovely missus didn't mind at all (her truck) and just laughed and called me a silly bugger! happy days! new roof before it gets sold.

no pics of day, only pics of damage. and as requested by mike my truck is 76 inch wide (to tyres) and 80inch tall.

and to put my mind at rest...they are bloody cheap to replace!

oops!

I missed your call earlier, sorry mate.. Was pottering around the garden when I should've been doing my brakes..

Figured I'd cocked up my chances of coming along because I hadn't rung you.. Glad it was good apart from the damage.. Should get yourself a zook.. :P

quality photos. it was a real good day. i think i did the damage on rock and roller (or whatever its callled!) and it was one of the best!

redneck, ignoring the damage to my roof the main problem was actually the width, a lot of the lanes were rock wall either side and mine literally got wedged! i even stalled it twice it got so wedged. most of the roof damage was done due to not fitting in the ruts so the truck leant more into the hedge if that makes sense. take the rack off, you'll be fine!

oh the memories! no chance of cutting that one down!

Ben, next time buddy! we could always go out and do some in the evenings. i could organise a mini outing or something

Really enjoyed the day but thanks again to Big Nasty for letting me ride shotgun again

and thanks to steve for being a nutter and pressing forward when he could have tried to go back, though in all honesty a couple of these would have been a nightmare backing that monster truck out of.

it did give us a benchmark though for you redneck, the deli and the other defender , and led to a few amendments for the route, as Steve really was pushing the limits, as he says though it will be a shame as these are a couple of craking lanes, although as in most cases in the area alot of the fun lanes are also tight... have got a set of smaller tyres still? as Big nastys 33 inch bfgs on his shogan doesnt take any damage from these lanes.. the deli might have a few probs still it will be a case of trial and error still when u come down but should limit the amount of backouts if we get out route right.

Those lanes look cracking, can't wait :D :D

The roof crate can be removed for our visit, it's bolted straight to the roof with 8x M12 bolts and when removed doesn't even leave any roof bars, so that's not a problem now i know in advance ;) i'll just stick the waffle boards and hi-lift in the back instead of on the roof.

As for the Deli (L300) he's just pencilled in at the moment and our other "monster" "bens landy" (running 35's) isn't attending.

How much of a problem do you think the width of my truck will be ?

I do have the option of putting a set of 31" muds on in place of the 35"s (it'll probably look bloody silly :chicken: ) but the option is there.

t b h mate removing the roof crate would be ideal.u could leave your hi-lift and boards at home as i carry these items with me.
the tyres should be ok in most of the lanes its not theyre height its theyre width.
i run the 33s bfgs and i have no problems if you run the 31s u will not have any issues whatsoever,id personaly leave em on.u should be ok

tbh it was only 2 lanes that did the damage, the rest will b fine, but removing the crate is an idea as the others are still tight.

i thought you liked it hard!

oh yeah, forgot to say! some idiot left a 5L bottle of used engine oil in the lane. i drove over it by accident and its made a right mess. gotta replace brakes now as they don't work. bugger.
