Very capable vehicle the Disco and if your up for a few dents I've seen Bish get his through stuff others where afraid to, often with no damage, but as with all Disco's they are very big and can't get everywhere. |

No one believes that I deliberately dropped into that gulley to demonstrate how it possible to drive through undergrowth and not see the underlying danger - and also to demonstrate why you should not greenlane solo!! |

Unforeseen things can and do happen and how your recover and how well prepared your vehicle is will get you out, keeping you cool is the number one priority. Most of us have been laning on our own and most of us will do it again, it makes us ultra cauious and walk through almost any new lane and at any sign of possible trouble then don't enter. We marked up many lanes and then gone back to them. Having your maps marked up well and only doing gentle lanes is a good idea, along with not going laning after major mechanical repair. The main reason we have ended up laning on our own has been when up to three other vehicles have dropped out during the day, including minutes before at the meeting point. We normally have two vehicles (both capable of recovering each other, ie same kind of size/weight). Having a friend a phone call away, or knowing the local farmer is a good back up. In short though it's not against the law and many of us have done it. |

There is an interesting article in the latest GLASS magazine about how to turn your hi-lift jack into a winch with shackles, ropes, rope loops and knots, very clever - have you seen it Maff? |

Nope, but I have done it mate, saved a certain roll over and me needing new pants: ![]() We worked it out quickly, I don't think any of us had used a hi lift as a winch before, be glad to show others, it's a defo don't leave home without it item. |

i was out last night at midnight in the lanes ! came around a corner and wack !! my airel was bent to buggery...lol... lanes dont 1/2 look different at night, i had to get out and have a look to make sure it was clear to carry on with the turn, it was but man was it quiet. the one point i would highlight is standing there with the little man out watering the plants in the middle of no place, a little voise come into your head "" WHAT R U DOING "" :ph43r: you silly man... |
