Had an awesome day that started with nearly killing Jimpics at the first obstickle, we'll get you next time m8. Ran round all day at 20 psi and had none of the problems i had down at Baldhu last month so happy days. Really enjoyed the site but the later stages were the best for me with tight sections and drop offs that a discovery is built for?! Only have the one dent to pull out of my passenger door and as usual i need a new indicator, the less said about my rear bumper the better!!!!! Many thanks to Jim and 4x4 adventures for a great day out. |

Big thanks for Jim for organising the day and Si for leadin us to the breakfast stop. James and Tim for their excellent planned day out, advice and help when needed. Bish well done for nearly turning a disco into a large cotton reel on the first section, with a rope front and back it looked like it might end in tears, Jim was for sure making buttons.... Was amazed at how you got through all of the tight stuff with easy, happy days sir. Nezzy and Oog, good effort boys, proving almost standard 4x4's can get most places. Si74, for finding different ways around/through the pond, Lee and Ferodo for retarded banter... Excellent banter and team sprit. Very pleased with Maxxis tyres, performed very well, many nice techincal bits and some nice bits that needed welly to get out of... ran at 15psi, ney bother, lots of grip and self cleaning in boggy stuff, loud pedal worked well in Cherokee. mmm breakfast ![]() Start line up ![]() This (first section) had a very slippy side slope that needed team work and thought to get through ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Bish slipping towards messy bog... ![]() Bish likes being tied up ![]() Lee came through trees to also tie Bish up ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cherokee looked like a van after first boggy section, need retard arches ![]() Lee coming through same boggy section ![]() Bish just needed a towel and an umbrella to complete his beached look ![]() ![]() ![]() Lee didn't take his towel so no beach action ![]() Nice drop into and get out sections, could be done either way. ![]() ![]() Where is Nezzy? ![]() Waffles out again, very handy, mmm, waffles.... ![]() ![]() Slippy slopes ![]() Lunch by chainsaw ![]() Drive it like you stole it ![]()

rich you missed an awesome day mate, we had such a laugh  you could have driven round with your eyes shut in the small suzuki mate and still not hit any trees bish has got some war scars from the days events and also moved a few trees, hats off to him for getting the disco round as its a very tight course, i think we have all gained a few war wounds from the day, but it was well worth it, an awesome day was had by all and the banter was as usual spot on, im sure that everyone had a good days fun, pity you couldnt come mate but there is always baldhu on the 22 march mate pencil it in the diary as you just know you want to go mate

Thanks again Jim! Yep really great day! Only had to be tugged once or ten times! I'll be getting hold of my co-driver Aidens' photots soon so i'll post them up. Thanks Aiden for the excellent spotting and good team work on the day. especially when he had to climb out of his window in a muddy bog to connect me to the back of Maf! As for that "pond" last time i went it caused me problems too!! Was also good to meet both Oog and Bish nice driving guys! Interestingly was chatting to Tim (the tail gunner guy) who said he has a few vehicles come with Khumos (as me) and they all seem to lack sideways grip in the slippery mud, but are awesome on desents, could have easily stopped at any point on the way down, apart from that VERY steap one. Photos to come... |

Let's not start a tyre debate!!!! Got over 200 photo's of the day here! If any of you guys who attended want one then PM me to arrange collection or give me an address to get them to you! Glad you enjoyed it - This only a bit of banter!! Bish you would have been guutted if your maxxis hadn't held on whilst we secured you to that tree. Si - your co driver needs to attach shackles to recovery points and then tug it hard - that came closer to killng me! Felt the wind of that shackle on my chin as it passed by!! Nezzy - your co driver needs to get out and get muddy when you get stuck mate not sit there and let me get mud up to my armpits! My bedsocks were too wet to kip in on Saturday night!! Maff - your co-driver needs to turn up!! Thanks for being tug vehicle and keeping your driving style cool and setting the trend with tyre pressures at the briefing point. Lee - Next time don't stop at Maccie D's - that Newcott breakfast is OK! get those vids posted up mate - did you get your rad jetwashed? OOG - That Suzuki did really well - but why did your co-driver get out at most of the hazards? - didn't he fancy getting wet with that top down - next time we'll have to get the water to lap up over the door tops at the enrty points. Nice to have you along - get some of the other Suzy boys to book up for the next one. Watch the LT&T forum for the next date(s) and some greenlane weekends with camping! |

Wasn't trying to start a debate, just finding excuses for driving sideways most of the day!!! My co-driver has taken your comments on board for next time! Certainly a valid point, and lucky you haven't got a beard!
