to remote host your pictures edit them down in size first please use the "Paint" program and the Image - stretch and screw option, upto 800 pixles wide should be ok any wider and the board starts to look a bit odd. next using a FTP program transfer then to your web space . ( I use ftp commander) then from the forum use the "IMG" tag and link to the photo. it will look like this:- http://www.yourweb site address/picture name.jpg' or http:www.yourweb site adresss/ folder name/ picture name rememeber to type or use the IMG tag twice once at the start and once at the end. [img][/img] FTP Commander download here Another option is to use a service like photobucket which is free and easy. Guide to using Photobucket: 1 go to photobucket.com and create an account. 2 create an album name ( helps to organise your photos from differant events 3 upload the photos using the sites uploader 4 select the photos you just uploaded on the site and select generate IMG codes (your looking for the IMG code for message boards) 5 copy and paste these codes into a new post on here and press submit post just as if you had typed a normal message. if all has gone to plan thats it |
